Landon Donovan scored his 2nd goal yesterday for Bayern Munich in the clubs 2-0 win over Second Division leader Kaiserslautern in frontat Fritz Walter Stadium on Monday. Landon has now scored twice and recorded an assist in the four games played for Bayern Munich, the leaders of Germany’s Bundesliga. Landon entered Monday’s game in the 63rd minute, with Bayern leading 1-0. Twelve minutes later Landon beat his man on a near post run and headed in a cross from Massimo Oddo to finish the scoring and seal the victory.
Landon will get his next chance to impress on January 22 in a friendly vs FSV Mainz while his first chance to play in an official game comes Jan. 27 when Bayern meets VfB Stuttgart in the German Cup quarterfinals.
“For me, everyday is a countdown,” Donovan said. “I have to show something everyday. In practice, on the bus, on the plane. It’s all important. This is a once in a lifetime chance.”

Good job mate, you are actually being considered worth the 10 mil $ already by the fcb forum crew. Just to transfer the comments in the bayern forums to english “he is ripping his ass open every time he plays” ( thats german for trying very hard!)

I think this is a great opportunity for Landon to show himself, as well as everyone else who believes in him, what he is truly capable of.
Even Steve Cohen thinks Landon will do well. “He went to Germany for all the right reasons.” Yes, football fans, Steve Cohen did actually say those words. He said it. Live. On Fox Football Phone In.
