Galaxy tie Earthquakes 1-1, remain winless on the year

Landon recorded another assist in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with the San Jose Earthquakes, whipping in a left-footed cross in the 76th minute that found the head of teammate Bryan Jordan before finding the back of the net.

“We were putting them under a lot of pressure,” Landon said about the play. “We got them cornered. I know there were a lot of guys in the front of the goal so I made sure I made a good cross in front of the goal. And Jordan did a good job getting underneath it.”

The Galaxy played from behind for almost all of the game after giving up a 5th minute goal to Pablo Campos. The goal in the 76th minute salvaged a tie, and the Galaxy are now 0-1-3 on the season, leaving them alone in sixth place in the Western Conference with three points.

“We’re doing almost everything right,” Landon said after the match. “We got to stop spotting teams a lead early. They didn’t have a lot of chances and it is unfortunate. Our run of play was good. We were very good defensively.”
